Kyle D. Parish, M.D.
Dr. Parish was born and raised in Calvert City, KY.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Murray State University in
1996. He attended medical
school at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and received
his doctorate in 2001. He
performed his residency with UAB-Huntsville Family Practice in
Huntsville, AL and performed his fellowship in Primary Care Sports
Medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
Dr. Parish has served as Assistant Professor of Family and
Sports Medicine at the University of Kentucky from 2005-2007.
He also has served as Team Physician at the University of
Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University, Kentucky State University and
Lexington Horseman Indoor Football Team.
Dr. Parish is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice
Medicine (ABFM) and board certified by the ABFM in Sports Medicine.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians,
American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American College of
Sports Medicine.
Dr. Parish is the author of
“Facial Soft Tissue Injuries” published with
eMedicine in July of 2006 and was also co-author of “Environmental
Stress” in the book Clinical
Sports Medicine, Johnson, D. and Mair, S. eds. published in July of
2006.
